Things I Like

Both Claire and I have been wanting to make a trip to he grand canyon for a while now. And after getting some gear together ( not that cheap either) we have made it. After five hour and some change drive, passing through the zion national park, we reached the north rim. We set up our tent and walked a couple hundred yards to the edge of the grand canyon. It is amazing. Now with snow on the ground and our bellies full of hotdogs, risotto, and wine, we snug in our sleeping bags waiting for the morning and listening to the wind whip through the pines on the north rim.

I recently received a very nice, hand written thank you card from the team at Stumptown Printers. This is the printer I worked with to create the packaging for my short documentary, Where Honor Is Due.
I came across their work at the SF Zine Fest this year in Golden Gate Park, and bought this indie film solely on it’s packaging. The film itself was really interesting documentary, by Bill Daniels, based around the legend of Bozo Texino, and older Hobo who left his mark all around the country on freight trains. More info on the film here.
Doing a quick look around on the internet, I came across this video on Carson Ellis’s blog produced by Monocle  on Stumptown Printers. I was super impressed and glad I could give my business to a group of creative individuals who really care about their craft.

The DVD’s for my film, Where Honor Is Due, are finally packaged and ready to ship. Have already sent a box off to the WWII vets in Iowa and will be able to ship more out as soon as I get back to San Francisco. The film’s website is juuust about ready and when that’s up and running you can order the film online.

Shooting in Chicago. Here’s a photo of our bikes, the white one being our rigged bike. We have 4 GoPro Hero Wide cameras hooked up and shooting at 2 second intervals.

Have been traveling the last week with Mike Cobra shooting a video for Clif Bar. Here is a photo when we had a flat tire on the way to our Williamsburg location.
